William "Bill" Eugene Bock, 66, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on June 3, 1956, a son of Walter and Mary Ann (Engetschwiler) Bock. On November 14, 1987, he was united in marriage to Tami Wynne. Bill was a 1974 graduate of Jefferson City High School. The majority of his career, he worked for Coca-Cola as a route salesman. He gave over 30 years of service to Coca-Cola and retired in 2021. In his retirement, he delivered part-time for Whaley's Pharmacy. Bill was an active member at Jefferson City Church of the Nazarene; he served as the youth leader for many years, organized float trips, and was a church greeter. He truly had a servant's heart and often did tasks with a cheerful spirit that other people overlooked. He was a quiet, but hard worker and never expected recognition for his acts of service. He loved meeting and interacting with people and was known to pass out Smarties candies to people young and old. Bill was an avid Andy Griffith watcher, loved Cardinals baseball, and enjoyed bowling and golfing. Most of all, he loved being Grandpa Coke to his five grandchildren and watching them in all of their activities. He was a true family man and will be missed immensely by those he leaves behind. Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Tami; children, Jamie McElwain and Justin (Kelley) Bock; grandchildren, Chloe Kleffner, Zachary, Carter, and Olivia Bock, and Morgan McElwain; mother, Mary Ann Bock; siblings, Robert (Susan) Bock, Paul (Vicki) Bock, Patty (Jim) Cain, Janie Bratcher, and Joanie Bock; mother-in-law, Ruth Wynne; sister-in-law, Susan (Scott) Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, and father-in-law, Quentin Wynne. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson City Church of the Nazarene. Burial will directly follow service at Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Capitol Projects or Jefferson City Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109, (573) 636-3838.
