Nichole Lynn Ponder

Nichole "Nikki" Lynn Ponder, 49, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, July 29, 2022 , surrounded by loved ones. Nikki was born June 22, 1973, at Fort Riley, Kansas, to Paula Kiso and David Minshall. Nikki attended Jefferson City High School, graduating class of 1992. After graduation Nikki pursued her passion in childcare. In 1988, Nikki met Randy Ponder and the two were inseparable from that point on. They were joined in marriage in June 1992. Nikki was a member of Solid Rock Family Church. Nikki is survived by her husband; two sons, Dalton (Breanna), Chance (Megan); one daughter, Rylie; her parents, step-parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Nikki was preceded by their son, Cole Alexander Ponder and her mother-and father-in-law, Verita and Terry Hayden. Visitation will be held Friday, August 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Church, 508 Hunters Run Road, Jefferson City. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Solid Rock Church. In lieu of flowers family requests all donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
