Morris Wayne Davis Jr., 58, of California, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at Moniteau Care Center in California. He was born May 13, 1963, in Independence, Missouri, the son of the late Morris Wayne Davis Sr., and Lucretia Ann (Brown) Davis. He was a 1985 graduate of Russellville High School. Morris worked for Hentges Tree Service, Schulte's IGA as a pastry chef, and for Cargill. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville. Morris enjoyed artwork especially drawing, playing video games, watching Marvel movies, and going fishing. Survivors include three siblings, Vicki (Raymond) Anderson, Clinton, Mo.; Gerald (Sherry) Davis, Belton, Mo.; Russell (Janet) Davis, California; a half-brother, Mike (Susie) Turner, Jefferson City; and 13 nieces and nephews, Jerry Turner, Jacob Turner, Sasha Turner, Tara Shepard, Tiffany Burchfield, Cody Miller, Rachael Anderson, Chantry Davis, Emily Powers, Katlin Foss, Joshua Kersey, Justin Kersey, and Megan Holman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Michael Turner. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville with Pastor Gary Case officiating. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family of Morris Davis Jr. in care of Janet Davis. Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Homes in Russellville is in charge of the arrangements.
