Rashelle S. Reed, 32, of California, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born September 8, 1988, in Lakewood, California, the daughter of Robert Wayne and Becky "Elliott" Zuidervaart. On May 10, 2014, she was united in marriage to Wade Reed who survives at their home. Rashelle was a 2007 graduate of California High School. She was Co-Owner of California Kids, LLC, where she cared for and enriched the lives of many children throughout her time with them. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in California. In a short time Rashelle had such a large impact on the lives of many. She loved the beach, camping, enjoyed learning to sew and attending family events. Above all, she cherished her children, husband, family and many friends. She was a loyal loving friend you could always count on and in general made the world a better place for all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband: Wade, she is survived by three daughters: McKenzie Reed, Loryn Reed, Emelia Reed; her parents: Rob and Becky of California, Mo..; special uncle and second father: Jeff Zuidervaart; one brother: Robert W. Zuidervaart II (Katlyn) of California, Mo.; nieces: Cadence Reed, Lily Moreland, Kara Zuidervaart; nephews: Robert W. "Tripp" Zuidervaart III, Knox Reed; maternal grandparents: Rudy and Sue Cashion of California, Mo.; paternal grandfather: Cornelius Zuidervaart (Phyllis) of Independence, Mo.; paternal grandmother: Corrie Terry of Belflower, Calif.; great-grandmother: Alberta Rich; mother and father-n-law: Malinda Reed (Keith) and Jackie Reed all of California, Mo.; brother-in-law: Matthew Reed (Chelsea) of California, Mo.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who will miss her tremendously. She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Jim Elliott. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at the United Church of Christ, 101 N. Oak St., California, MO. Rev. Russell Cobb will be officiating. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will be private for the family.
