Betty Sue (Forck) Klebba, 82, Salt Lake City, Utah, was called home on June 22, 2021, to meet her Savior and be reunited with her beloved husband, Ken. She passed peacefully surrounded by her three loving children. Betty was born in Taos, Missouri to Sabena (Kerperin) Forck and Cletus Forck. She was raised on a dairy farm and attended a one-room schoolhouse until 8th grade. She met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Ken Klebba. They were married in Taos, Missouri. Soon after being married, she and Ken left central Missouri and started traveling and having adventures of a lifetime. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2019. Betty's greatest gift was the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She intently studied the Bible daily and shared that wisdom with many people through her shining examples of love, kindness, and gentleness. She had a 'heart of gold' and would drop everything to listen and talk to people. Betty always taught us kids that you have two ears to listen with and one mouth to speak with so you should listen twice as much as you talk. Perhaps that's why she became a Christian counselor and teacher. Betty enjoyed being a librarian, was an avid reader and had walls and walls of books. She loved the color red, collected crosses and glass figurines, and loved Christmas. She and Ken lived in several places within the United States, Alaska and Norway. They were able to travel to all 50 states, explore 7 continents and visit over 100 countries. Once settling in the intermountain west, she became known as everyone's Mom. Betty enjoyed having friends over for dinner, pool parties, dances in the basement, singing, and playing ping pong. Betty is survived by three children, Daniel (Anita) Klebba, Peggy (Stuart) McCandless, and Shari (Cindy) Solomon-Klebba, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. She has four grandchildren, Jeremy (Erin) Klebba, Stephanie Klebba, Nathan Klebba, and Sami Solomon-Klebba and one great-grandchild. Betty is also survived by her Missouri siblings, Mary Lee Bax, Bill Forck (Shirley), Darlene "Dada" Reed (Bob), Mike "PeeWee" Forck (Mary Jane), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Klebba;her brother, Jack Forck; sister-in-law, Alma Forck; brother-in-law, Steve Bax; and her parents. Betty was also greeted in heaven by two children who passed away at birth. During the last few months of Betty's life, she was kindly taken care of by the loving people at Life Care of Salt Lake and the gentle Active Hospice workers. We'd like to extend much gratitude to those selfless care givers. We also owe a great deal of gratitude to Betty's amazing friends who stood by her side at the hospital and at Life Care. They continued to encourage her and share the Bible with her which brought Betty so much comfort. Betty gave much of her life to those around her and continues to do so through an altruistic gift of her body to the University of Utah School of Medicine Body Donor Program. A Celebration of Life will be held August 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Canyons Church 1700 East, 7200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to Canyons Church.
