Susan (Sue) Marie McClain

Susan (Sue) Marie McClain, age 66, of Windyville, Mo., passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife and mother of five children. Sue was born March 11, 1955, in Lansing, Mich. to Freda Lee Frazier and John Walter Hamilton. On June 3, 1994, she married Henry Charles McClain and they celebrated 24 years of marriage until his death in 2018. Sue studied criminal Justice and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections. She raised two sons, Rex and Chad, and three daughters, Lindsey, Heather, and Nichole. Sue was most known for her sense of humor and her laugh was contagious. She was a loving wife to her late husband Henry. She cherished time with family and carried the title Meemaw proudly. She was deeply engaged in charity and donations. She was a wonderful mother and friend and will be deeply missed by many. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Walter Hamilton; her mother, Freda Brooks; and her husband, Henry McClain. She is survived by her son, Rex Pierce and wife, Brandee; her son, Chad Pierce and wife Barbie; her daughter, Lindsey Pierce; her daughter, Heather Sheehan and husband Chad; her daughter, Nichole Gardner and husband Justin; and grandchildren, Britany Pierce, Austin Pierce, Jerry Sheehan, Breanna Pierce, Hannah Busker, Colby Sheehan, Raquel Pierce, Zackary Pierce, Audrey Sheehan, Madison Gardner, Lillian Self, Gavin McClain, and great-granddaughter, Aleia Handlon. A Memorial Service will be held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., July 3, at Tebbetts Community Center, 5544 State Rt. 94, Tebbetts, MO 65080.
