Roger Leroy Kirchoff

Roger Leroy Kirchoff passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at Tipton Oak Manor, Tipton. Mo. He was born May 8, 1935, to Jess and Grace (Walter) Kirchoff, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy (Bieri) Kirchoff. When Roger was 16, he operated a sandplow for Marion Bolin. In 1954, he went into the bulldozing business with his brother, Gail Kirchoff. In 1961, he sold his interest in the partnership to Gail and went into business for himself, working primarily in the Jamestown, Prairie Home, and California areas. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by four brothers - Gail, Tom, Jean, and Ronald; and one sister, June Meller. He is survived by daughters Renee (Chris) Clifford, Regina (Randy) Pruitt, and Rachelle Thompson; seven grandchildren - Javan Grover (Josh Schutte), Andrea (Steve) Lutz, Bridget Clifford, Bryce (Michelle) Pruitt, Breanna Pruitt, Hallie Thompson (Ben Stahlschmidt), Merle Thompson, and five great-grandchildren. Roger was a member of the United Church of Christ, California, and a member of the California UCC Men's Brotherhood. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
