Elizabeth "Betty" (Klebba) Temmen

Elizabeth "Betty" (Klebba) Temmen, age 80 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by family. Betty was born November 4, 1940, to Edward "Pete" and Anna Marie (Kaiser) Klebba. She grew up on the family farm in the Buck Elk area in rural Belle, Mo., where she enjoyed caring for animals, fishing on the Gasconade River, playing with her brothers and helping her parents on the farm. Betty attended the one room school house, Indian Creek, and was a 1958 graduate and Homecoming Queen of Belle High School. She married Edward Temmen in 1959, and they had three daughters. Early in her life she worked for Employment Security in Jefferson City where they resided. She became a stay at home mom when children came. She later worked for Villa Marie Nursing Home and finished her career with the State of Missouri as a legislative assistant, and eventually retired in 2011. She enjoyed cooking, boating, skiing, gardening, animals, sewing and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a beautiful and elegant woman, with an incredible work ethic and an inability to tell a lie. Many will remember her captivating charm, extraordinary home cooking and effortless skiing ability. A lucky few were witness to her last flawless ski performance at the age of 65, at which time she concluded without getting a single strand of hair wet. She is survived by her three daughters: Tricia Temmen of Bland, Mo.; Traci Temmen with husband Jaime Perez of Tampa, Fla.; Tara (Temmen) Goins with husband Jeff Goins of Holt Summit, Mo.; grandchildren: Trevor Gehlert, Taylor Gehlert, Edward Temmen Perez, Gavyn Goins, Avery Goins, Storm Goins; Brothers: Richard Klebba with wife Bernadine (Bisges) Klebba of Osage Bend, Mo., Gene Klebba of Taos, Mo.; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Anna Marie Klebba; one infant sibling: Darlene Klebba; and sister-in-law, Esther (Welschmeyer) Klebba. Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Father William Debo officiating. She will be laid to rest between her parents in Rich Fountain, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association.
