Maurice David Hausman

Maurice David Hausman, 81, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away on June 15, 2021, at South Hampton Place in Columbia. He was born June 8, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Leon and Isabell Hausman. Maurice was united in marriage on September 20, 1969, in St. Louis to Sarah Meister, who preceded him in death. Maurice was a 1958 graduate of Elmwood Park High School. After a stint in the U.S. Army, he went on to have a successful career as a manager and director in the health insurance field. In his free time, Maurice was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, always looking forward to discovering new destinations. He is survived by his sons: Gregory Hausman of Columbia, Mo. and David Hausman of Springfield, Mo.; sisters: Bonnie Crego of Rio Verde, Ariz. and Cheryl Widen of Racine, Wis. Maurice was preceded in death by his brother: Gerald Hausman. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
