Harry Francis Bemboom Jr., 66, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the University of Missouri Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on May 25, 1955, in Cole County, a son of the late Harry Francis Sr. and Hilda (Bock) Bemboom. Harry attended Jefferson City High School, before entering into the United States Army where he graduated within the service. He worked for McGraw Edison and Oak Tree Villa. Harry was employed with Capital Plaza Hotel where he retired after several years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Harry was an avid dirt track race fan and attended several races over the years. Most importantly, he cherished his time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his special friend of 16 years, Janet Spicer; son: Terry Bemboom Sr. of Springfield; daughters: Teresa Rayman (Brent) of Fair Grove and Tina Smith (Brian) of Buffalo; grandchildren: Terry Bemboom Jr., Kaden Rayman, Kolby Rayman, Dakota Smith and Connor Smith; brothers: Larry Bemboom (Melba), David Bemboom (Mary) and Andy Bemboom; sisters: Mary Ellen Benne (Donnie) and Kathy Schroer (John); and many other family and friends. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Shirley Hutinger. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a celebration of life at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
