Geraldine R. Vanderfeltz

Geraldine R. Vanderfeltz, 84, of Westphalia, formerly of Jefferson City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Westphalia Hills. She was born on January 29, 1936 in Cole County, a daughter of the late Gerhardt and Cecilia (Franken) Vanderfeltz. Geraldine was a graduate of St. Peters High School in Jefferson City. She was employed with Capitol Projects for over 40 years. Geraldine was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church but also enjoyed going to Immaculate Conception with family. She enjoyed embroidering and would make quilt blocks for all her nieces and nephews. Geraldine liked attending auctions and watching The Price Is Right. She is survived by her brother: David Vanderfeltz (Judy) of Westphalia; sisters: Madeline Sutherlin of Lee's Summit and Rita Puckett of Jefferson City; sister-in-law: Shirley Vanderfeltz of Jefferson City; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Leon Vanderfeltz, Robert Vanderfeltz and John Vanderfeltz; sisters-in-law: Rita Mae Vanderfeltz and Becky Vanderfeltz; and brothers-in-law: Ray Puckett and Ed Sutherlin. A private Catholic Prayer Service was held on Friday, November 27, 2020 for the family with Fr. Anthony J. Viviano officiating. Interment followed in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. The family of Geraldine wants to thank everyone at Westphalia Hills for their exceptional care over the past 16 years while she was a resident there.
