Beverly Ann Buhr

Mrs. Beverly Ann Buhr, age 77, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Primrose Retirement Community surrounded by her family. Beverly was born on July 24, 1943, in Enid, Okla., a daughter of Charles E. and Helen N. (Mack) Jackson. She was married on June 4, 1966, in St. Joseph, Mo. to Roger Joseph Buhr, who preceded her in death on August 22, 2017. Beverly was a 1961 graduate of Savannah High School. After graduation, Beverly attended Central Missouri State University, where she graduated with a bachelors degree in music in 1965. Beverly started her career as an elementary music teacher in Rockport, Mo. When she and Roger relocated to Seneca, Kan., she worked as a social worker. They moved back to central Missouri in 1988, and Beverly worked as a teacher at St. Francis Xavier School until retirement. Beverly was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, where she played the organ, and her late husband, Roger directed the choir for many years. Beverly enjoyed living at the Lake of the Ozarks surrounded by wonderful neighbors and friends. She also enjoyed family gatherings at the lake and fishing and going shopping. Beverly was an extremely talented pianist and organist. She shared her love for music by teaching piano lessons. Beverly had a beautiful Santa collection that she displayed every Christmas. Most of all, Beverly loved her family and she cherished the time she spent with them. Survivors include: children, Kimberly Radmacher (Eric) and Steven Buhr (Lisa) all of Jefferson City, Mo.; siblings, William "Bill" Jackson (Patricia) of Overland Park, Kan. and Joyce Schneider (Allan) of Cosby, Mo.; brothers/sisters-in-law, Harvey Buhr (Betty) of Bonnots Mill, Mo., Carol Fick (Tom) of Columbia, Mo., Jerry Buhr (Joan Doerhoff) of Jefferson City, Mo., Stan Buhr (Theresa) of Chandler, Ariz., Bill Buhr (Ellen) of Lohman, Mo., Theresa Buhr of Russellville, Mo., Becky Kraus (Stan) of Loose Creek, Mo., and Gail Buhr of Owensville, Mo.; and grandsons, Luke Buhr, Brock Buhr, Beau Buhr, Austin Radmacher, Clay Radmacher, and Sam Radmacher. Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Roger; brothers-in-law, Lynn Buhr (Pat) and James Buhr. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2020, at St. Francis Xavier Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Michael Penn officiating. Graveside services will follow at St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery. Anyone in attendance is required to wear personal masks. A webcast of the mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday for family and friends that are not able to attend by going to her memorial page on Freeman Mortuary's website.
