Suzanne Garriott

Suzanne Garriott, 83, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at St. Joseph Bluffs in Jefferson City. She was born on May 10, 1937, in Wainwright to the late Owen Eastwood and the late Mary Belle (Branch) Eastwood. In 1955, she was united in marriage to Orvey H. "Junior" Garriott Jr. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2003. Suzanne grew up in Mokane and graduated from Mokane High School in 1955. She was employed with the State of Missouri Division of Aging for 26 years, retiring in 1999. Suzanne loved being outside, gardening and mowing the lawn. If she had to be indoors, you could probably find her watching an old western. She is survived by siblings, James Eastwood (Carolyn) of Jefferson City, Patsy Blakley of Fulton, and Mary Distler (Delbert) of Holts Summit; grandchildren, Zach Schultz of Fulton, Rachael White of Iowa, Adam Vaughan of Fulton, and Seth Vaughan of Columbia; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Suzanne was preceded in death by her children, Kent Garriott and Tonya Vaughan; sister, Frances Lee Harris-Bedsaul; and brother-in-law, Gary Blakley. Private graveside services will be held in Middle River Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
