Louis J. Strobel

Louis J. Strobel, 86, of California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Moniteau Care Center. Louie was born on October 24, 1934, in Moniteau County, Mo., to Ed and Sedonia (Schubert) Strobel. Louie graduated from California High School in 1953. He worked at McGirk MFA and later for Lohman Producer's Exchange until his retirement. Louie was a lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ. After moving to California, Louie loved visiting with friends around town, having coffee at the local coffee shops, and being around his cat, Buddy. Along with his parents, Louie was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Elmer Strobel; and his sister, Tracy Strobel. Visitation will be at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 10 a.m. with funeral service following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Howard Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery near McGirk. Memorials are suggested to Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
