Loyd Lee Rohrbach

Loyd Lee Rohrbach, 84, of Taos, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 21, 1936, a son of the late Emmett O. and Ruth (Jenkins) Rohrbach of California, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Holzem on June 15, 1968, at Assumption Church in Morrison. He attended Red Brush Elementary School and graduated from California High School. He attended business school in Springfield and while in school worked part time for the Frisco Railroad with special assignments to Richland, Newburg, St. Louis and Memphis. He was employed with the Kansas City District Corp of Engineers working on various projects throughout Missouri and Iowa for 40 years, retiring in 1995. During that time, he received numerous Performance and Special Acts Awards. He was a charter member of Liberty Road Baptist Church where he taught the young boys Sunday School class for a number of years. Loyd loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he especially looked forward to the family vacations each year. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith Rohrbach; children, David Rohrbach (Carolyn) of New Bloomfield, Julie Zobel of Maryland Heights, Emily Luebbering (Jake) of Wardsville and Beth Robson (Marc) of Westwood Hills, Kansas; brothers, James Rohrbach (Patsy) of California, Glen Rohrbach (Nancy) of California and Marvin Rohrbach (Cheryl) of Kingdom City; sisters, Marion Dykes of Kingsport, Tennessee and Doris Easley (Bill) of Cassville; grandchildren, Chase Taggart (Samantha), Cassidy Taggart, Calin and Mason Whitfield, Cameron Rohrbach, Jax and Blake Luebbering, Jesse and Ben Stocks; and great-grandchildren, Brylie and Charlotte Taggart. Loyd was preceded in death by his son, Von Edward Rohrbach; son-in-law, Gordon Zobel; brothers, Paul and John Rohrbach; and sisters, Ruby Rohrbach, Erma Wilhelm, Lucille Porter, Rose Scott, Lyda Rohrbach, Larna Morris, and Carol Barbour. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy may be made to the Liberty Road Baptist Church, 7815 Liberty Road, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
