Mary Wagner, 92, of Jefferson City, passed away quietly on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at River City Nursing Home. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, a daughter of the late Denis and Ellen (Gleason) O'Donoghue. She was united in marriage to Clemens Wagner in April of 1955, in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Mary immigrated to the United States and later joined the United States Marine Corp. Later she became a United States citizen. While in the Marines she met her future husband, Clemens. After their enlistments were up, they moved back to Missouri to raise a family. She worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for over 20 years before retiring. Mary loved to read, listen to music and watch Jeopardy. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandma and will be greatly missed by her loved ones. She is survived by her children: Kathleen "Kitty" Sevener (Colin), Mark Wagner (Karen) and Sean Wagner (Jing Jing); grandchildren: Michael, Michelle, Justin, McKenzie, Alex, Joey, and Cici; six great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years: Clemens Wagner; and son: Eric Wagner. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m,. Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Radar Baptist Cemetery in Vienna with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
