Mary Frances Roth

Mary Frances Roth, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at St. Joseph's Bluffs. She was born on February 18, 1934, in Jefferson City,; a daughter of the late Otto J. and Erna (Michael) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Charles Roth, October 19, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. She was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Soon after graduation she was married and her wonderful years as a homemaker began. Mary loved to spend time in her garden, she enjoyed watching birds. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, making many dresses for her little girls. Her daughters fondly remember their mother singing her favorite hymns as she went about her housework and that she played her piano daily. Her family will greatly miss her faithful support and love that she freely gave through the years. She is survived by her daughters: Karen Taylor (Kermit) and Valerie Jackson (Larry); grandchildren: Brenden Taylor (Kimberly), Frances Janes (Nick) and Rachel Jackson. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Roth; great-granddaughter, Shelby Janes; brother, Alvin Fischer; and half-brother, Otto L. Fischer. Graveside services will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy may be made St. Josephs Bluffs Chapel fund.
