Lynn Berry Stout

Mrs. Lynn Berry Stout, age 69, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital due to complications with Aplastic Anemia and Covid. Lynn was born on October 26, 1951, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Maxwell and Virginia (Jenny Williams) Berry. On June 18, 1969, at the Cathedral of St Joseph, she married the love of her life, Tom Stout. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City Missouri, Lynn was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Lincoln University. In 2015, Lynn retired with 42 years of outstanding service with the Missouri National Guard. Tom and Lynn operated the family's restaurant business, La Casa, for 15 years with their sons. Many lasting memories and forever friends were made. Upon retirement she remained active and served as trustee with the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2693 and volunteered many heartfelt hours. Lynn's life revolved around family and friends. She found peace in spending time with them at their lake home and being on the water fishing with her precious love of 51 years. She loved reflecting on old memories and making new ones. Lynn also enjoyed bowling in her weekly league for 20 years. She looked forward to her weekly luncheons with the retirees, her "golden girls" and her "6 pack girls". She was active and appreciated spending time with her Class of '69 Reunion Committee. Lynn is survived by her husband: Tom Stout of Jefferson City; sons: Chris Stout of Jefferson City and Scott Stout (Kristin Fisher) of St. Martins, Mo.; daughter-in-law: Wanda Stout of Oklahoma; brother: Mike Berry of Orlando, Fla.; sister: Donna Berry; four grandchildren: Kassandra Stout Cunningham (Harrison) of Kansas City, Mo.; Eli Stout of Kansas City, Mo.; Sophie Stout and Shia Stout of Olathe, Kan.; and two step-grandchildren: Korbin Fisher and Maddox Fisher. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Berry. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital for their compassion and care for our wife, mom, mima, sister, and friend. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines. Facial coverings are encouraged while in attendance. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
