Jeffrey Michael Schnieders, 67, of Jefferson City, entered into eternal life Thursday, November 12, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary's due to complications from COVID-19. He was born January 29, 1953 in Jefferson City, the son of Edgar H. and Madalyn A. (Dirkschneider) Schnieders. On September 16, 1972 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Sharon Katherine Adrian, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City. His wife survives at the home. Jeff attended St. Joseph Cathedral School and was a 1971 graduate of Helias High School. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph where he served as school board president, as well as on the parish council. Heavy equipment excavating was Jeff's passion and lifes work. He started operating equipment and working alongside his father at the age of 11. Jeff and Sharon purchased the family business and have operated it as Jeff Schnieders Construction Company for over 35 years, growing the business and earning a reputation for their integrity and commitment to high quality work. Jeff truly loved to work. His talents and drive could rival the ability and energy of multiple people. With his determination, not much ever stood in the way of his success in the endeavors he pursued, including Ozark Hills Angus - a black angus cattle breeding operation he and Sharon started together. Jeff enjoyed traveling and spending time making memories on the beach with his family in Florida. He had a never-ending joy and enthusiasm for planting, growing and cultivating flowers, exotic plants, and trees. He spent endless hours mowing grass and creating beautiful landscapes, no matter where he was. He also loved spending time at the cabin with his family - fishing, boating, riding trails, grilling and drinking cold beers. He was an avid Cardinals and MU fan, but he especially loved cheering for and watching his grandchildren play football, baseball, soccer and wrestling. Jeff's family was a source of much pride for him. Together with Sharon, he raised their seven children, lovingly welcomed their spouses and joyously celebrated the addition of each of their grandchildren - never passing up an opportunity to hold and snuggle a baby. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his ever-growing family. Growing up with his five brothers, two sisters and many cousins, they formed a close knit bond that was evident anytime they were together. They'd always greet each other with a hearty hug, slap on the back and an "I love you." Family was also important to Jeff at work. He worked with his son Justin and brother Chris everyday, and through the years employed his other children, grandchildren and brothers. He also extended his love to the many who worked for him through the years. He considered them family and always took great responsibility knowing they relied on him to provide for their families. Most importantly, Jeff was a man of God. He generously gave to those in need and shared the many gifts and talents he was given. He and Sharon raised their family with a love and reverence for their Catholic faith. Throughout the trials and difficulties he faced in life, he never wavered in his belief and love for the Lord, even up until his last days on earth. Along with his wife Sharon, he is survived by his mother: Madalyn Schnieders; children: Justin Schnieders (Jennie), Eric Schnieders, Jessi Wieberg (Kyle), all of Jefferson City, Abby Biondi (David) of Barrington Hills, Illinois, Matt Schnieders (Natalie) and Suzanne Schnieders, both of Jefferson City; four brothers: Ron Schnieders (Tammy), Mike Schnieders (Cindy), Chris Schnieders (Denise), all of Jefferson City, and Jon Schnieders (Tia) of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters: Lori Concannon (Pat) of Columbia and Gail Hibdon (Robert) of Jefferson City; sister-in-law: Missy Schnieders; grandchildren: Austin Schnieders, Nick Schnieders, Garrett Schnieders, Nathan Schnieders, Brett Schnieders, Elizabeth Schnieders, Luke Wieberg, Cole Wieberg, Holly Wieberg, Nash Biondi, Theo Biondi, Bayne Schnieders and Charlotte Schnieders. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Rachael Schnieders; brother: Craig Schnieders; father: Edgar Schnieders; and step-father: Charles Hooker.
