Gary L. Seabourne, 73, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at his home. He was born on March 28, 1947, in Leadwood, Missouri, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Warren) Seabourne. He was united in marriage to Marcia Woods on December 15, 1994 in Warrenton, Missouri. Gary was a 1965 graduate of Leadwood High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1968. Gary began his career with the State of Missouri, Division of Family Services in St. Charles. In 1994, he was promoted to Program Development Specialist for the Division of Family Services and relocated to Jefferson City. He retired in 2013 as Unit Manager with the MoHealthNet Division. Gary was a member of First Baptist Church and the Samuel F. Gearhart Detachment 656. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Gary was a great cook and enjoyed playing cards with friends and loved Charlie Brown and Snoopy. He was a fun-loving, caring and thoughtful person who went out of his way to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Marcia; daughter: Sarah Bell (Damien) of Desloge; sister: Sandi Allen of O'Fallon; mother-in-law: Harriet Woods; sister-in-law: Gwen Harris (Randall) of Wichita, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with services following at 2:00 p.m. Due to the uncertainties with COVID-19, the family requests guests wear masks and social distancing be maintained. Interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Red Cross or a charity of the donor's choice.
