Margaret Ann Stegeman

Margaret Ann Stegeman, 86, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Villa Marie. She was born on January 27, 1934, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Lawrence H. and Ida G. (Thessen) Prenger. Margaret was a 1952 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia. She worked for Cheeseborough Ponds, Scholastic and was an Administrative Assistant at the Department of Revenue until her retirement in 1999. Following retirement, she enjoyed cooking for the students at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Margaret was a talented lady and enjoyed visiting with people, especially while working as a bartender at Palace Inn. She would farm, babysit, garden and keep her yard and home looking great all while raising five children. Margaret is survived by her children: Yvonne Wilbers (Robbie), Lanie Williams (Bill) and Lori Richter, all of Wardsville, Joseph Stegeman of Jefferson City and Jeffrey Stegeman of Sedalia; brother: Richard Prenger of Centralia; sisters-in-law: Lorriane Stegeman of Jefferson City and Rachel Prenger of Taos; seven grandchildren: Jamie Wilbers (Kara), Sam Wilbers (Ashley), Chris Eiken (Jamie), Todd Williams (Kendra Hilkemeyer), Ryan Williams (Whitney Haslag), Kyle Richter and Megan Wilbers (Josh) and eight great-grandchildren: Caden, Emma, Clayton, Carson, Gage, Alayna, Theo and Nora and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Alfred Prenger, James Prenger, Bernard Prenger and Stanley Prenger; sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Prenger, Jackie Prenger and Dorothy Prenger. Private family services will be held with interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church in Taos.
