Melva Pearl Marie McMillin, age 90, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at her home. She was born January 31, 1930 in Bonnots Mill, Mo., the daughter of Alfred and Belva (Starr) LeCure, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Robert Earl McMillin on August 13, 1949 in Jefferson City, Mo. Granny lived for her family and was a proud wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite spot was in the kitchen, she loved sending everyone home with her famous zucchini bread. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered. Survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth Stone and Debby Blackwell; four sons: Steve McMillin, Mike McMillin, Bruce McMillin, and David McMillin; one sister: Margaret Veltrop; two brothers: Frank LeCure and Tommy LeCure; 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Bill McMillin; one daughter: Paula McMillin; and three sisters: Geneva Bohannon, Cleora Clark, and Elizabeth Craig.
