Sylvia Louise Kimball, 67, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, at her home. She was born October 18, 1952 in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Lloyd W. and Catherine B (Steinman) Kimball. Sylvia enjoyed bowling, embroidering, traveling the world, visiting family and shopping. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved attending family reunions. Over the past 25 years, Sylvia grew very fond of the residents and staff at the Estes House where she lived. They were a wonderful blessing to her life as they became like a second family to her. Survivors include six sisters: Barbara (Ed) Powell of Eldon, Jackie Rains of Athens, Georgia, Judy (David) Bear of Friendswood, Texas, Carolyn (Larry) Cornett of Wickenburg, Arizona, Jane (Mike) Hoffner of Eldon, Anna (Steve) Leffert of Eldon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Lymon Rains; and nephews, Bill Powell and Larry Powell. Friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Callistus C. Okoroji officiating. Interment will follow in Greenmore Memorial Gardens.
