Derrick Jerome Howard, 56, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his home. He was born on December 15, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of William and Barbara (Johnson) Bishop. Derrick attended Vashon High School in St. Louis. He had a love for dancing and having a good time. He was known as "D", "Neshawn" and of course everyone knew "The Hustle Man" who would "drink 211 and pour it out"! Derrick enjoyed cooking and could make a meal out of anything. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter: LaQuita Howard of St. Louis; siblings: Keith Howard of St. Louis, Pamela Lomax (David) of Augusta, Georgia, Karen Howard of Jefferson City, Kimberly Staton (Reginald) of Jefferson City, James Howard Jr. of St. Louis, Jacquline Howard of St. Louis and Damond Howard of St. Louis; uncles: Charles Johnson of St. Louis, Robert Johnson of Gary, Indiana and William Johnson of Bay Highland, Indiana; and special friend: Jennifer Jefferson of the state of California. Derrick was preceded in death by his brother: Darnell Howard. Services for Derrick will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Autism Association.
