Ashlie Nichol Drayke, 24, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1995 in Jefferson City, Missouri, daughter of Eric Emerson and Victoria Clark. Ashlie was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School. She attended William Woods in Fulton and Avila University in Kansas City where she received an Associate's Degree in General Studies. She was currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts. Ashlie was a cheerleader at both New Bloomfield and Avila and was a cheerleading coach at New Bloomfield. She was employed as a preschool care provider and also worked part time as a karate instructor. Ashlie's passion was art and she was a natural talent. She enjoyed working in all mediums, but animae was her specialty. Ashlie was currently working on producing a comic book. She treasured the memories created with friends and family and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her mother: Victoria Clark of New Bloomfield; father: Eric Emerson (Tara) of Tebbetts; siblings: Kyle Emerson, Ellie Emerson, Jacob Emerson and Brenlie Emerson; great-grandparents: Frank and Elnora Puckett of Holts Summit and Ralph Emerson of Mesilla Park, New Mexico; grandparents: Kathy Clark of Holts Summit and Carl and Jacque Emerson of Hams Prairie; close friends: Ashtyn Sills of Columbia and Rebekka Lowry of Warrensburg; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Ashlie was preceded in death by her grandpa: Victor Clark; and great-grandma: Almeda Emerson. A celebration of Ashlie's life will be held at a later date.
