Sadie Allen

Sadie Cassandra Allen, the most precious baby girl in the entire world, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016, in her mommy's arms as her daddy was driving as fast as he could to get her to the hospital. Sadie was nearly two years old, born on February 26, 2014, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Joshua Lee and Sara Christine Allen. They loved their precious baby Buttercup immensely, and they were so thankful for every moment they had with her. Sadie was a cheerful, joyful blessing to everyone who knew her. Sadie's beautiful smile, sweet, silly laugh and loving personality uplifted the spirits of everyone she encountered. Sadie was a gift from God and her life was a light and testimony to the character and nature of God. Sadie was extremely loving, intelligent, curious and she was absolutely delighted by every cat and dog she met. She enjoyed reading books; playing with her family and friends; playing peek-a-boo (especially behind the curtains); hiding in the pots and pans cabinet; exploring the outdoors, going on walks and playing at the park; smelling flowers and plants (including artificial ones and weeds); taking off her socks and shoes in the car; eating bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes and LaraBars as a special treat; and helping her parents grocery shop and run errands. Survivors include: her parents, Josh and Sara Allen of Jefferson City, Mo.; and loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Sadie's unexpected passing leaves her family heartbroken; however, they will always remember her and cherish the time and memories God blessed them with as her parents. Even though her life was incredibly short, her memory will remain with them forever; and while they wish they had been given more time with her, they look forward to being with her, kissing her and hugging her again someday in the fullness of God's presence. Sadie's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016, at First Assembly of God with the Reverend Lowell Perkins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
