Thomas R. Cobble

Mr. Thomas R. "Tom" Cobble, age 58 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Golden Living Center. Tom was born on June 11, 1957, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Roy C. Jr. and Sue Link Cobble. A resident of the Jefferson City area, Tom attended Jefferson City High School and Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., and graduated from Draughon Business College as an Applications Programmer. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975-1977. Tom spent his time caring for the love of his life, Dr. Susan Strode, and had previously worked in sales. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Tom was a passionate lover of rock'n'roll music, especially the Beatles. He was also an avid sports fan who loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include: companion, Dr. Susan Strode of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, Andrew T. Cobble and companion Samantha Wilson of Jefferson City, Mo.; his mother, Sue Link Cobble of Jefferson City, Mo.; three sisters, Lynn Bisges and her husband Roger of Jefferson City, Mo., Laura Weiler and her husband Ken of Jefferson City, Mo., and Julie Caldwell and her husband Troy of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Private graveside services and interment will be conducted on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Riverview Cemetery.
