Iris Taylor

Iris Jo (Luadzers) Taylor, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 18, 2016, at her home. She was born on September 26, 1948, in Jefferson City the daughter of Nelson and Mary Lou (Medlin) Luadzers. Iris was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She previously worked for Anchor Hocking Corporation and most recently for Dillard's Department Store. Iris enjoyed music and was very good with playing any musical instrument she picked up. She played the violin with a band years ago and also enjoyed her banjo. She enjoyed time spent with her dogs, Andy and Marty, reading and fishing with her fiancé, Dennis. Iris always had a ready smile with a sparkle in her eyes and time for conversation. She is survived by: her fiancé, Dennis Welschmeyer; her mother, Mary Lou; brother, David Earl Luadzers; sister, Kimberly Kay Mayor; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her father, Nelson Luadzers; two brothers, Mark Edward Luadzers and Daniel L. Medlin; and sister, Charmaigne Denise Tellman. No funeral is planned.
