Theodore Delano Dixon

Theodore Delano "Ted" Dixon, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Adams Street Place. He was born March 20, 1934, in Tela, Honduras, the son of the late Loy Thomas and Mary Lou (Braddock) Dixon. Ted was a veteran of the United States Army. He was united in marriage on September 7, 1962, in Puebla, Mexico to Elba Myrna Lugo Mendez who preceded him in death on October 5, 2002. Ted worked in sales and retired as Director of International Operations from Hager Hinge in April of 2001. Ted was a voracious reader, world traveler, and a horse racing aficionado. Survivors include four children, Maria Rebecca Lazzaro, San Francisco, Calif.; Theodore Dixon Jr., St. Louis; Richard Dixon, St. Louis; Adriane (Brian) Crouse, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Gilbert Dixon Jr., Erica Dixon, Marissa Russo, Robert Dixon Jr., Hayley Lazzaro, Edward Crouse, Christian Crouse; three great-grandchildren, Vincent Russo, Evan Russo, Edward Dixon; and three siblings, Dolores (George) Grant; Emma Wallace; and Betty Nelson, all of San Francisco, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, Gilbert Dixon Sr., Robert Dixon Sr.; and two siblings, Thomas Dixon Jr., and Rebecca Calder. A private family remembrance service with military honors was held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
