Deborah Lenne Randall, 65, of Jefferson City, passed away, Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her home. She was born on April 29, 1950, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the daughter of Bill and Myra (Mayberry) Gaines, who preceded her in death. She was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Southeast Missouri State in Cape Girardeau. She assisted in public relations for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1973-1974. She was an administrative assistant for the Missouri Ethics Commission and the Missouri House of Representatives from 1982-2000. She coached her daughters in soccer. She attended every soccer, softball, basketball and volleyball game for her children and grandchildren. Deborah was active with the PTA and helped to start the Community Breast Cancer House. She participated in the Mother's Day 5K, Relay for Life, and gave support and help to others diagnosed with cancer. She always opened up her home to friends. She loved her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. She is survived by two daughters: Cari Randall of Jefferson City and Jennifer (Brandon) Nicklas of Jefferson City; one sister: Dianna (Kevin) Bredeman of Jefferson City one brother: Kent Gaines of Tallahassee, Florida and seven grandchildren: Noah Nicklas. Eli Nicklas, Emma Randall, Grace McDaniel, Hannah Randall, Noella Randall and Rylenne Randall. A dinner in Deborah's memory will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Madison's Café by her daughter and granddaughters. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Chapman officiating. Interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to: Samaritan Center.
