John Tieman

John David Tieman, 66, of Jefferson City, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 3, 2016. He was born on March 1, 1949 in Washington, Missouri, the son of Adolph and Evelyn (Nichol) Tieman Turner, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on March 18, 2011 in Jefferson City to Vicky Shaw, who survives of the home. He worked for Unilever as a Maintenance Technician for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Jefferson City. John loved his church family and most of all he loved the Lord with all of his heart. John was a devoted husband, a loving step-father, and wonderful family man. He enjoyed going fishing, watching western movies, horses, socializing and going out to dinner with his family and friends. His is also survived by three step-sons: Arden, Matthew and Timothy Riggs, all of Jefferson City; two sisters: Mary Meyer of Jefferson City and Shirley Hall of Linn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father: Chester Turner; four sisters: Edna Meyer, Wanda Meyer, Brenda Branson, and Helen Dudley; one brother: Adolph (Junior) Tieman; one nephew: Charles Dudley; and two nieces: April Dudley and Karen Carwile. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Higbie officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
