Wayne Joseph Jaegers

Wayne Joseph Jaegers, 58, of Frankenstein, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. He was born on March 23, 1957, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Norman and LaVerne (Smith) Jaegers. Wayne was a 1976 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia, and had recently earned a Degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. He grew up around the turkey business, eventually starting Jaegers Turkey Farm near Frankenstein. He raised his family on the farm. Wayne enjoyed fishing and hunting for turkey, deer, elk, and even bears. He would never miss a chance to play the card game Preference and he loved telling stories of his adventures in life. He was influential with the Frankenstein Ball Park and donated many hours to the community. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his two children: Ryan Jaegers (Alexis) of St. Charles, Missouri and Amy Davis (Barrett) of Overland Park, Kansas; their mother: Donna Jaegers of Loose Creek; brothers and sisters: Karen Rush (Albert), Linda Ejchler, both of Jefferson City, Carla Bratcher (Larry), Mary Kay Jaegers, both of St. Charles, Norma Ashmore of Loose Creek, Joan San Miguel of Wentzville, and Jim Jaegers (Patty) of Linn; sister-in-law: JoAnn Jaegers of Jefferson City; and granddaughter: Annabelle Jaegers. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Vernon Jaegers and Carl Jaegers. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Millard Family Chapel in Linn, with a Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m., led by Father Dan Merz. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein, with Father Daniel Merz and Father Louis Nelen as concelebrants. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Loose Creek. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Mary's Catholic School Frankenstein.
