Kimberly Ann (Patten) Johnson, 55, of Grandview Mo., departed this life on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at home surrounded by her family and friends. Kim was born August 18, 1959, in Boonville, Mo. to Roman and JoAnna Patten. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City, Mo. before receiving a nursing degree from St. Luke's Nursing School in Kansas City, Mo. Kim married John Riley Johnson October 6, 1984, and had three children from this marriage, Karri Ann Johnson, Hillary Marie Johnson and Reilly Elizabeth Johnson, all of Grandview, Mo. Kim spent many years providing nursing care in the Kansas City area as well as providing services to St. Catherine Siena Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo. where she was a member. Kim loved her church family as well as her own family and dedicated her time to caring for them and their needs. Kim leaves behind her husband, John, and children, Karri, Hillary, and Reilly as well as her parents, Roman and JoAnna Patten of Jefferson City, Mo. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Walter and Georgia Johnson of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; her sister, Sandy Wankum (Steve) of Centertown, Mo.; her brother, Brad Patten (Jenny) of Lee's Summit, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Jim Johnson (Helen) of Michigan as well as a very dear friend, Cindy (NaNa) Stevens of Grandview, Mo. and many nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents and a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Johnson. Friends and family will be received from 8:00-10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, with a celebration of life Mass following visitation at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo. A private family burial will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, it was Kim's wish that donations be made to further her daughter, Reilly's education.
