Robert Arnold Hibler

Robert Arnold Hibler, 90, of Gerald, Mo., passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Robert was born in Owensville on December 9, 1924, to the late Thomas and Ida F. (Nicks) Hibler. On June 27, 1953, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, he was united in marriage to Bertha Suenkel. He was a 1942 graduate of Owensville High School, a carpenter for over 50 years building homes and furniture for people in the area, a member of Gerald Area Pinochle Club, and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. His survivors include his wife, Bertha; daughters, Marcella Armstrong and husband Lance of Jefferson City, and Patricia Meyer and husband Keith of Minneapolis, Minn., and Bill Hibler of Gerald; and by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Garver. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald with Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Monday at the church. The family request memorials to St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald.
