Marilyn S. Kiefner

Marilyn S. Kiefner, 80, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Perryville, Mo., passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, at Havens Pineville, N.C. She was born August 1, 1934, in Dothan, Alabama, daughter of Earle and Helen (Dowling) Stapleton. She and Lt. General retired Charles M. Kiefner were married on June 26, 1952. He preceded her in death January 27, 2007. Marilyn was a beloved wife, mother and home maker. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Perryville. Survivors include two sons; John (Tina) Kiefner of Chicago, Ill. and Keith (Sydney) Kiefner of Charlotte, N.C.; twin brother and sister, S.E. "Buddy" (Joyce) Stapleton and Helen S. Harrell both of Dothan, Ala., and three grandchildren, Whitney, Victoria and Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial Service will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church in Perryville on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 am with Rev. Nancy Gillard officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Home Cemetery.
