Mary Ellen Hill

Mary Ellen Hill, 67, of New Bloomfield, Missouri, died on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born April 2, 1947, in Clarksburg, Missouri, to Leonard and Faye Martin. She worked for over 28 years at Missouri Farm Bureau retiring in 2003. She was a lifetime member of the Clarksburg Baptist Church. Mary was an excellent seamstress and made beautiful prom and wedding dresses. She loved farming and raising Hereford cattle. She also loved house remodeling and home decorating. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching MU Tiger sporting events. Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Norris L Hill; her two children, Lisa Smith (Russell) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Robert Hill of Ashland, Missouri; her three grandchildren, Rachel, Brooke, and Ryan Smith; her mother, Faye; and her brother, Paul Martin (Brenda) of Clarksburg, Missouri. Visitation will be at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapels in Jefferson City, Missouri on Sunday, January 18, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Leroy Moon officiating. Burial will be at Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Clarksburg Community Betterment Organization or the Clarksburg Baptist Church Steeple Fund in care of the Millard Family Funeral Chapels.
