Margaret Jean Ferguson Lewis, 89, California, Mo., passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo., after an extended illness. Margie was born November 19, 1925, in Trenton, Mo., to Roy Elgin Ferguson Sr., and Pauline Thompson Woods Ferguson, who preceded her in death. After her relationship to the Lord Jesus, the most important focus of Margie's life was her family. She was a generous and loving mother and grandmother, and was tireless in her efforts to provide for her family. She was married on May 8, 1946, to Roy Glenn Lewis, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2000. She is survived by two daughters: Linda Jean Lewis of Columbia, Mo. and Ila Marie Lewis Morrow and her husband Gregory Scott Morrow of California, Mo.; five grandchildren: Valarie Morrow Moseley, Patrick Scott Morrow, James Glenn Morrow, Erin Margaret Lewis Dykes, and Blair Jeanmarie Lewis; 11 great-grandchildren: Aaron Tyler Maikai-Moseley, Byron James Moseley, Brooklyn Marie Ford, Caitlin Michelle Morrow, Rhiannon Marie Morrow, Patrick Evan Morrow, Reagan Marie Moseley, Irelyn Jaymes Moseley, Jamieson Grace Morrow, Emelinn Jean Lewis, Kierlin Marie Morrow: one great-great-grandchild: Quinlyn Bae Neal-Moseley; two sisters: Mary Lawson of Clinton, Mo. and Martha Peters of Cameron, Mo.; and two brothers: Jarvis Ferguson and Roy Elgin Ferguson Jr., both of Trenton, Mo. and one brother-in-law: Donald Floyd Lewis of Branson, Mo. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul Ferguson, Herbert Ferguson, and Thomas Ferguson; one brother-in-law: John Lewis; and one sister-in-law, Pearl Lewis Barker. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in California, Mo. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in California, Mo. with Rev. Greg Morrow and Pastor Linda Lewis officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. at Edinburg Cemetery, Grundy County, Mo. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, California, Mo. Missions Fund, c/o Bowlin - Cantriel Funeral Services. Funeral services are under the direction of Bowlin - Cantriel Funeral Services.
