Mrs. Wanda D. Workman, age 85 years, of Rocky Mount, Mo., died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Capital Region MedicalCenter. Wanda was born February 20, 1929, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of John and Alma Hoffman Mueller. She was married on May 15, 1948, in JeffersonCity, Mo., to James E. Workman, who preceded her in death on December 6, 1990. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Wanda graduated from Jefferson City High School. She was employed with the Missouri Division of Health and Aging for 42 years prior to her retirement in 1989. Wanda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City and Hope Lutheran Church at the Lake of the Ozarks. She enjoyed reading, iris gardening, listening to music and the Lake of the Ozarks. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She had a wonderful life with four great sons, and wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-greatgrandchild. Survivors include: four sons, James Roger Workman of Rocky Mount, Mo., Douglas Dean Workman and his wife Janet of LakeMyKee, Mo., Philip Gene Workman and his wife Carol of Holts Summit, Mo., and Jay Jeffrey Workman of Rocky Mount, Mo.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and four brothers. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Samuel Powell officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
