Carol June Borgwordt, 85, of Holts Summit, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, after a courageous battle against cancer.She was born December 8, 1929, in Pewaukee, Wis., the daughter of the late Percy and Dorothy Stutz.On August 6, 1962, she was married to Russell Borgwordt, who preceded her in death on April 1,2001.Carol had an amazing zest for life and a remarkable positive attitude - she found the good in everyone. Carol was an Administrative Assistant at Waukesha Rubber and managed Sunset Bowl for several years. She was actively involved in bowling tournaments for many years nationwide. She owned and operated CTS Trucking Service and had her own cleaning service. In 2010, Carol moved to Missouri where she finally retired in 2013.Some of Carol's enjoyments included bowling, gardening, knitting,reading, entertaining, and spending time with friends. Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Borgwordt, Holts Summit, and Robin Bluemner (Greg), Brookfield, Wis.; one son,Roy Borgwordt, Holts Summit; three grandchildren, Ray Borgwordt (Erin), Milwaukee, Wis.; Randy Bluemner, Las Vegas,Nev.; Lotti Bluemner, Hollywood, Calif.; and four great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a young brother and an infant sister.Rather than a visitation, Carol preferred family and friends to celebrate her life in their own special ways.Carol's favorite charity was St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Those wishing to email tributes or condolences to the family may do so at the www.dulletrimble.com website.
