Una Lazell "Pat" Browning, age 92, of Jefferson City, entered rest on December 8, 2014. She was born November 8, 1922, in the community of Prairie View, Texas to Cassie Jackson and Christopher Columbus "Lum" Kennedy. Pat was happily married to Bill Browning who passed before her. She lived in Houston, Texas before moving to Jefferson City for the last 32 years. She was a member of the Capital City Christian Church in Jefferson City for many years. She loved gardening and was an accomplished artist. Besides her love for family and special friends like Mary and Julie, she had a special place in her heart for her poodle, Gigi. Ms. Browning has been living at Heisinger Bluffs for the last three years. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Slaughter of Houston, Texas and Shirley Peery of Thornton, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at Heisinger Bluffs in the Care Center on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. A memorial in Thornton, Texas will be held at a later date.
