Darlene L. Fuhrman, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born October 5, 1932, in Norfolk, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Leu) Wiedeman. On October 28, 1954, Darlene was united in marriage in Lincoln, Neb. to Richard Fuhrman, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2013. Darlene was employed in Lincoln, Neb. and Omaha, Neb. at an insurance company and financial institution. During her time in Jefferson City, she was employed as the City Clerk for the City of St. Martins for nine years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church. Darlene is survived by five children: Randy Fuhrman (wife Martha) of Jefferson City, Debbie Jungmeyer (husband Kevin) of Jefferson City, Pamela Holman (Kenny) of Forney, Texas, Terry Fuhrman (wife Kay) of Frisco, Texas, and Scott Fuhrman (wife Elizabeth) of Forney, Texas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters: Jeanette Kolpin of California, Shirley Moon of Texas, Bonnie Phillips of Texas; one brother: Marlin Wiedeman of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard, parents: Harry and Elsie Wiedeman; grandson: Kyle Billington; brother: Harry Wiedeman and sister: Lucile Timperley. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Martins Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Martins Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Schmidt officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Martins Knights of Columbus or the Kyle Billington Memorial benefiting the Jefferson City High School Cross Country Scholarship Program.
