Mary F. Engelage

Mary F. Engelage, age 74, of Jefferson City, Mo., formerly of Lohman Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Villa Marie, in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born November 12, 1940, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Enloe J. and Dora Marice (Cooley) Messer, both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Jefferson City High School. Mary was united in marriage February 7, 1961, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Robert Engelage, who also preceded her in death. She was employed as a corrections officer. Mary was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing and her grandkids. Mary will be sadly missed. Survivors include two sons: Ray (Rhonda) Wood of Lohman, Mo. and Victor (Lynda) Engelage of Lohman, Mo.; two daughters: Sara Sandfort, of Eldon, Mo. and Ronda (Kay) Spiers, of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother: Bert (Mary) Messer, of Russellville, Mo.; one sister: Rhonda Bishop, of Eldon, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death along with her parents and husband by one son, Craig Randal Wood; three sisters, Nancy Murray, Elizabeth Fischer Corpening, and Babby Jean Messer and one brother, Ronnie Messer. Visitation will be Monday January 5, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at Weber Funeral Home, Russellville, Mo. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery, Russellville, Mo. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, Mid-Missouri Chapter, 2400 Bluff Creek Drive, Columbia, MO 65201.
