Armetta Mae Hickman

Armetta Mae Hickman, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on January 3, 1932, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Louis and Nadine (Schanuth) Schwartze, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Philip Howard Hickman, who preceded her in death in 1989. She worked for Mattingly's Department Store, Oberman's Pants Factory, and International Shoe Company, and retired from McDonald's in Jefferson City. She was a member of Eagle's Ladies Auxiliary #2693 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #1003. Armetta is survived by two sons: Victor Wayne Hickman of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Philip Harold Hickman of Kansas City, Mo. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Jen Sievers and Frances Hentges; and two brothers: George and Cletus Schwartze. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will also be on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Home with James Brian Hedges officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
