Nicholas Hampton

Nicholas B. Hampton, 33, of Jefferson City, Mo., formerly of Bedford, Ind., died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at his residence. Born August 25, 1980 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Brian Hampton and Nancy (Benham) Hampton Goode. He was a seed collector for Missouri Wildflower Nursery, Jefferson City, Mo. and a lifelong member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, Ind. Nicholas had a passion for living and was a devoted friend. He enjoyed gourmet cooking; loved outdoor activities; and was a musician, playing both the guitar and percussion instruments. He was a very free spirit. Surviving are his mother, Nancy (James) Benham Goode, Jefferson City, Mo.; his father, Brian Hampton, Anderson, Ind.; one brother, Matthew Hampton, Oolitic, Ind.; his maternal grandmother, Eileen Benham, Bedford, Ind.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, Ind. with Fr. Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Needmore, Ind. Friends may call on Sunday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, Ind. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be considered to St. Vincent de Paul School,
