Robert L Loesch

Robert L. "Bob" Loesch, age 73, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Jefferson City. He was born September 2, 1939, in Stringtown, a son of Charles and Catherine Garrison Loesch. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church-Stringtown. Bob was a 1957 graduate of Russellville High School. He was employed as a contractor salesman, retiring from 84 Lumber in Valley Park. When he was younger, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life he kept busy working on small construction projects. However, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include three children, Bruce (Diana) Loesch of Jefferson City, Cindy (Ambrose Buechter) Renick of Russellville and Patty Riegel of Linn; four grandchildren, Amanda (Bryan) Ross, Katy Loesch, Zach Renick and Jared Riegel; one great-granddaughter, Mia Ross; 10 siblings, Mary McKinney, Ada Jones, Vera Gilpin, Nora Propst, Ralph Loesch, Georgia Sippel, Donnie Loesch, Leona Davis, Jerene Bechtel and Shirley Wekamp; along with many nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Harvey Riegel; and three brothers, Charlie, Norville and Truman Loesch. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery-Stringtown. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.
