Margaret F. Trippensee, 96, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born September 7, 1916, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Jacob W. and Eunice O. (Kauffman) Meller. She was a 1935 graduate of St. Peter High School in Jefferson City. On June 15, 1937, Margaret was united in marriage in Jefferson City to Carl F. Trippensee, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1963. She worked as a secretary for the Missouri Legislature from 1961 to 1979 and was a real estate associate from 1966 until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Cathedral of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the church's Women's Association, Daughters of Isabella, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary. Survivors include two children: Mark M. Trippensee and wife Margie, Joyce A. Murphy and husband Lee, all of Jefferson City; a daughter-in-law: Betty Trippensee of Taos; nine grandchildren: Carla Doty, Curt Trippensee, Chris Trippensee, Connie Trippensee, Jill Serrano, Bridgette Beck, Kevin Murphy, Kelli Murphy-Small, Kristie Glenn; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. One son, Ronald V. Trippensee, preceded her in death. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Alex Gabriel officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
