Larry C. Russell, 63, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013, in Jefferson City. He was born on July 24, 1949, the son of Carl Russell and Mildred (Porting) Malan. On September 18, 1972, Larry was united in marriage in Jefferson City to Roxie Key who survives at their home. Larry was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country from 1969 until 1971. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Larry enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Harley Davidson rider, belonging to the Freedom of The Road Riders. Along with this wife Roxie, Larry is also survived by his mother and step-father: Mildred and Carl Malan of Linn, Mo.; two children: Terry Russell (Danielle) of Jefferson City and Angela Niekamp (Steven) of Jefferson City; four grandchildren: Carter Russell and Colten Russell of Jefferson City, Landon Niekamp of Jefferson City, and a new grandchild expected January 2014 to Angela and Steven; one brother: Warren Russell; and two sisters: Debbie Dudenhoeffer and Janet Whitt. He was preceded in death by his father: Carl Russell; and one brother: Alan Russell. Private family memorial services are planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of TYLER M.
