Dale Alan Sapp, 56, of Holts Summit, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia. He was born September 8, 1956, in Columbia, Missouri, a son of Dale and Thelma (Calvin) Sapp. He attended Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri. Dale was a longtime floor installation specialist, but first and foremost he was a musician. Dale once said "Most people play music for a hobby, I play music for life." He touched a lot of people through his music and some of the bands he played with include - Saddle Tramp, Black Jack, Painted Eyes, Sticky Grass, Soup Kitchen Sapp and the MOJOmanics, The Quick, Junkyard Dogs, Backstreet Boogyband, and many more. Dale is survived by his wife: Donna Reagan; his father: Dale Sapp (Frankie) of Columbia; three children: Dale Anson Sapp (Denise) of Silverdale, Wash.; Nicole Tomlinson of Jefferson City and Ryan Tomlinson of Jefferson City; two step-children: Joe Reagan of Jefferson City; Megan Tomlinson of Columbia; one sister: Sandra Dering (Tracy) of Marshfield, Mo.; and three grandchildren: Parker, Rylan, and Izzy Sapp. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Dave Samler officiating. Interment will be held in Liberty Cemetery near Ashland, Mo. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
