Lidwina Christine Schwartze

Lidwina Christine Schwartze, age 90, of Koeltztown, departed this life Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Maries Manor Health Care Center, Vienna. She was born October 10, 1921, at Koeltztown, a daughter of Herman Liborius and Christine Gertrude (Loehner) Bax. Mrs. Schwartze was united in marriage on June 2, 1951, at Koeltztown, to Ambrose Anton Schwartze, and to this union, three children were born. Mrs. Schwartze was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, the quilting circle of the church and had been a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church Ladies Sodality. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Schwartze include: Two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Jane and Richard Buschjost, Koeltztown, and Diane Elizabeth and Rickey Waidelich, Vienna; three grandchildren, Matthew and Suzanne Buschjost, St. Peters, Jessica and Tom Masterson, Springfield, and Corey Waidelich, Vienna; two great-granddaughters, Reagan Buschjost and Eva Buschjost; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Bax, St. Ann, and Rita Verhoff, West DesMoines, Iowa; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 31, 2001; an infant son, Richard Anthony Schwartze in 1963; her father on February 3, 1952; her mother on June 13, 1979; and two brothers, Alphonse Bax and Clarence Bax. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Schwartze at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012, in the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, with the Rev. Msgr. Marion Makarewicz officiating. Interment will be in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, Argyle, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2012, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., and 9-10 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012, all in the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown. Masses or memorials to the Vienna Senior Citizens Center are suggested by the family with envelopes available at the Church or the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
