John Wilbert Becker, 84, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born May 27, 1928, in Alton, Illinois, a son of John G. and Claire Becker. John was united in marriage to Frieda Wall, who preceded him in death in August 1989. He was later united in marriage to Faye Johnson, who preceded him in death on December 25, 2008. He was in the dry cleaning business for a total of 60 years and managed Royal Cleaners for 22 years. John was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include one son, John Robert Becker of Jefferson City; two grandsons, Robby Pendleton and Eric Pendleton; one granddaughter, Lori Pendleton; two great-grandchildren: Cameron Pendleton and John "Luke" Pendleton; one brother, Bob Becker and wife Norma of Quincy, Illinois; and one sister, Mary Stiles of O'Fallon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Pendleton, on November 24, 1989; a grandson, John Pendleton; two brothers, Bill Becker and Mike Becker; and a sister, Marion Smith. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Curry Cemetery near Iberia. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
